GWD Land Station in crop

The ground measurement system, at each experimental site, includes the equipment necessary to calibrate the rate of transpiration certified by the actual atmospheric events (air temperature, foliar temperature, atmospheric saturation loss) and soil measurements moisture in the actual soil moisture profiles. Experimental events throughout the irrigation period determine the stress line coefficients (dTlower & dTupper), ie delineate the CWSI variance range under the local climatic conditions for each crop.

The transfer of measurement data to an appropriate DB of the system is done via a mobile network (GPRS) or wireless interconnection (cost, energy consumption and independence from public networks will be proposed when implementing the project). Three parallel installations of the equipment will be implemented in 3 different crops in Trifilia, Messinia, representative of the whole area.
